good for you. Most
people know that certain
foods like
vegetables
for example, are good
for you because they
contain vitamins and
minerals that our bodies
need. However, a lot of

there are certain foods
we should be eating
regularly because they
actually prevent serious
illnesses such as many
types of heart disease,
strokes, diabetes,
cancer and many more.
Keeping a good diet will
decrease your chances of
getting these diseases.

This is true, and you
need to be careful about
what you are putting
inside your body. Try to
stay away from junky and
fast foods such as
chips, soda, candy and
fast food burgers and
fries. These foods will
just put you on a fast

foods once in a while
for a treat is okay, but
you need to keep your
consumption of them to a
moderate level. When you
feel the need for a
snack try some raw
vegetables and low fat
dip. If you are in the
mood for something
sweet, have some
fruit,
which is sweetened
naturally. Some examples
of good fruits to eat
are apples, which are
loaded with vitamins A
and C, oranges, which
help prevent colds and
flues, and lemons, which
are good for sore
throats and have vitamin
C. You can also make a
smoothie from yogurt or
milk and fruit. These
types of drinks don’t
need any extra sugar,
and they make a healthy
and fulfilling
snack.
Some
vegetables that are
very good foods to eat
are broccoli, onions and
carrots. One serving of
broccoli actually
contains ninety-seven
percent of the vitamin C
that your body needs for
one day. Onions lower
cholesterol and the way
they make you tear up
when cutting them is
good for people who
suffer from asthma or
other breathing
problems. These
vegetables also help
prevent heart attacks
and strokes. While
eating carrots do not
improve your eyesight,
they do help your eyes
to stay healthy, and
they also help your body
to fight off cancer.
Some other foods that
will do your body good
to have are salmon,
beans, garlic and even
seaweed. Out of all the
fatty fish in the world,
salmon is the best for
you. Salmon is full of
omega 3 fatty acids, and
these are extremely
healthy. Eating this
fish just once per week
lowers your chance of a
heart attack by as much
as fifty percent. This
fish actually tastes
pretty good too, so
eating it once a week is
easy! Although beans are
well known for giving
people gas, they are a
good food to eat. Not
only are they high in
fibre, but they are also
good for prostate
cancer. Seaweed may be a
surprising food to make
the list, but it is
loaded with iron,
calcium, magnesium and
iodine. Seaweed is an
excellent food for
fighting cancer. The
last, but certainly not
least food on the list
is garlic. Garlic does
so many good things for
the body that it would
fill up a whole novel to
list them. It prevents
everything, from heart
disease to cancer.
